The counselor/therapist/social worker in private practice provides high-quality therapeutic services to clients facing a range of mental health issues. This role involves assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions in a supportive environment. Minimum 14 hours of client availability per week. Required average caseload of 10 clients per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct initial assessments and intake interviews to evaluate clients’ mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Therapeutic Services:
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR).
- Facilitate a safe and supportive environment to promote client growth and healing.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including session notes and treatment progress, within 24 hours of client appointment.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations and ethical standards (e.g., HIPAA).
- Collaboration and Referral:
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers and professionals as necessary for comprehensive client care.
- Make appropriate referrals to external resources or specialists when needed.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current with developments in the field through continuing education and training.
- Participate in supervision and peer consultation to enhance clinical skills.
- Community Outreach:
- Engage in community outreach and education to promote mental health awareness and the services offered.
